1. Plan a Downtown Orlando Brewery Crawl

Plan a Downtown Orlando Brewery Crawl

There are so many amazing Orlando breweries, that I recommend beer lovers spend some time downtown and try a few. You can quickly get from Persimmon Hollow to Motorworks to Broken Strings and order a flight at each! If you don’t want to have a designated driver, go on Saturdays and take the Orlando Ale Line Brew Bus!

2. Attend a Match

With four major sports teams right in Orlando, this is the ideal place to catch a game. Head to either the Amway Center or the Exploria Stadium to watch a soccer, basketball, or hockey game.

3. Swim in a Freshwater Spring

The freshwater springs of Central Florida are a sight not to be missed! If you want to spend some time in nature, it is worth it to take a drive to the springs. There you can explore, kayak, or swim with your friends and family. Here are the best springs near Orlando for adults:

  • Blue Springs State Park in Orange City

  • De Leon Springs State Park in De Leon Springs

4. Spend a Day at the Central Florida Zoo

Seeing animals of all types is the most fun thing to do in Orlando! The Central Florida Zoo is home to giraffes, bears, sloths, crocodiles, and more, which can be viewed at any time of day.

See Orlando from above with a hot air balloon flight! Disney Springs offers fifteen-minute experiences for only $25 per person and you can see Walt Disney World Resort from above. If you really want to splurge, you can also book a private hot air balloon tour over Orlando for $425 for a couple!

6. Go Backstage on a Theme Park Tour

All the Orlando theme parks offer backstage tours that provide a unique perspective instead of riding rides. Some of my favorites include the Keys to the Kingdom or the Wild Africa Trek Tour at Disney World and the Penguin Up-Close Tour at SeaWorld.

They are an additional cost after park admission, but if you have an annual pass it can be a unique Orlando experience for adults!

7. Taste Your Way Through the Chocolate Museum

Taste Your Way Through the Chocolate Museum

If you have a sweet tooth, visit The Chocolate Museum & Café for a decadent birthday. You can start with a tour to learn about the origins and history of chocolate, followed by seeing how chocolate is made and some remarkable sculptures made out of chocolate.

8. Play Some Games at the 1-Up Barcade

For adults that want to relive the 80s, the 1-Up Arcade bar offers all your favorite arcade games to enjoy in a bar setting. Another delicious experience for adults in Orlando is going to Plant Street Market. This is an indoor food hall (though lots of seating is outside), where you can try all sorts of cuisines.

There is nothing sweeter than spending the day picking fruits and berries! Orlando is surrounded by a variety of farms that offer pick-your-own blueberries, strawberries, or citrus, depending on what is in season.

Another exciting thing to do in Orlando for adults is to take a tree trek. With four different theme parks, Walt Disney World has so many unique things for adults to do. Magic Kingdom is the classic option, especially for those who love princesses or movies.

Spend the day here riding the rides and finish off with fireworks and ice cream in front of Cinderella’s Castle. As for the other four parks, Epcot is definitely the best for adults. Drinking around the world is always a challenge for those who want to try all sorts of libations the celebrate.

For those who rather not purchase a theme park ticket, Disney Springs is a great way for adults to get a taste of the Disney magic! There are so many fabulous restaurants with a variety of cuisines. Raglan Road, Boathouse, or Jaleo are my picks for an adults-only dinner.

Then you can spend the rest of the night checking out unique bars like Wine Bar George, listening to live music around the Springs, or even going to a concert at The House of Blues! With so many hotels close by, you can book one for the night and not worry about driving either.

Keep an eye out for alligators and expect to see tons of birds. There are even places to pull over and walk around for better views.

46. Take a Monorail Crawl

Most people do not realize that you can visit Disney Springs, the Boardwalk, and Disney Resorts for free. I think one of the most fun things to do in Orlando is parking at the TTC and taking the monorail around and stopping at each resort.

You can also enjoy a walk on the Boardwalk or a surrey ride rental. For an adult experience at the resorts, I recommend making a dinner reservation and then taking a monorail or a skyline ride! If you time it right, you can even see the fireworks while you are there!

Know Before You Go: The Best Things to Do in Orlando for Adults

Though some may be surprised, Orlando offers plenty of fun things to do for adults. From art and culture to food and wine, there’s something for everyone in this vibrant city. Before choosing one of these things to do in Orlando for adults, be sure to keep these tips in mind!

  • Keep an eye on the weather when planning an activity in Orlando. Florida weather can change quickly, especially in the summer with storms popping up. It also is much hotter here than on the coast, so do not plan to be outside all day in the summer.
  • If you are looking to visit any of the theme parks, make sure to look for Florida Resident deals! Kelly, this blog’s trusted travel agent, can help you find the best rates!
  • You will have to pay for parking in the city and near tourist locations. Pretty much most places in Downtown Orlando and on I-Drive have a small parking cost. If you are concerned, look it up ahead of time or take an Uber.
  • Avoid I-4 during rush hour as much as possible. This is where there is the worst traffic! Traffic in the city is bad all around between 4 PM to 7 PM most days though.
  • If you are looking for a place to grab a meal after experiencing one of these attractions, check out my complete Orlando restaurant guide.
